READ THIS (or not)

So I thought about doing one of those “1000 things about me” pages but by the time I get around to writing the last “thing”, the first “thing” probably doesn’t apply anymore because shit happens and changes.

Instead, I’ll make this page a list of random things about me which I’ll keep adding to.

I shall start with:

1. I HATE RUBBER BANDS. I won’t ever touch one without having the comfort of liquid hand soap nearby.

2. I like drum’n'bass music, but I don’t know enough people who are into the same “scene” therefore I never really get to go to drum’n'bass parties. That will hopefully change soon.

3. I idealise people too often.

4. I’m in love with a man I spent 8 hours with.

5. I like the taste of the milk that’s left when you reach the end of a bowl of cereal. I don’t really like the taste of milk by itself. I do, however, LOVE the texture of it. I love seeing it being poured out into a glass. My favourite scene in the movie White Oleander is when the milk pours into the glass and the oleander stems are dropped in.

6. From the time that I arrived in Australia and introduced to Milo, up until the age of about 13, I was taught to make a hot cup of milo like so: mix a spoon of milo with some boiling water and add sugar to taste. Needless to say, I was jipped as far as the Milo experience went.

7. I was born in Vietnam and landed at Sydney airport at about 9am, 4th of April 1997, aged 8.

8. I love earl grey tea. It reminds me of when I was younger and actually spent more time with my family, we’d go on trips during long weekends with my cousins and their families. I loved getting up early in the morning, and everyone would congregate at someone’s house, and we’d all have breakfast together. I would always have earl grey tea.

9. I love subtitles. I secretly hate watching movies with other people because noone ever lets me leave the subtitles on. Screw white bread, the teletext TV is the best thing ever.

10. When I was little I wanted to become a supermodel (thanks to my brother stealing all the height, that dream never eventuated). I also wanted to become a singer (thanks to my parents holding on to all their vocal talent, that dream also never eventuated). Then I wanted to be a teacher. Then I wanted to be an advertising creative director. And my most current/realistic career goal is physiotherapy. But if the Ying-Yang Twins happen to be touring Australia one of these days and I happen to be at their concert and happen to act really super cute and happen to be offered to be in one of their videos… all my dreams would have come true. HAH

11. I always have trouble answering when people ask me what bands/artists I like, so I seem to say everything, which doesn’t leave room for much discussion. So I’m going to use Placebo and the Ying-Yang Twins as the two artists that encapsulate my general music taste.

12. I like the sound of scissors opening and closing.

  1. I love the idea of the random list - I had a 100 things list, but I took it down because a lot of things need changing, and I just haven’t gotten around to it yet!
Loving the tat by the way - I’m way too chicken to ever get one myself, but I can appreciate a good one when I see it :D
